3/2-way valves, particularly compact versions such as those using a guide tube system with a 9 mm diameter, are typically designed so that two ports are integrated into the valve body, while one port is realized at the guide tube.
With this design, SVS-Automation offers NC and NO versions directly as standard, and mixing or distributing functions can also be implemented.
At the NC function, the inlet and outlet are located in the valve body, and pressure relief occurs via the armature tube. At the NO version, the inlet is located at the armature tube. In some applications, this is not desirable. For this reason, SVS-Automation provides, within the Type 82S series, a special version that is available as a standard product, featuring an NO configuration with both inlet and outlet located in the valve body.

To completely avoid a port at the armature tube and thus implement all ports in the valve body, SVS-Automation offers another design solution for a 3/2-way valve.
This design not only allows realization as individual valves with all ports in the body but also enables improved integration into valve manifolds, as all inlets and outlets can be incorporated into the valve body without additional tubing.
The key feature of this design is the combination of a specially designed armature with a screw-in nozzle. Highly precise manufacturing and accurate assembly result in a compact valve with reliable 3/2-way functionality.
